A tornado warning was just issued for the the MS coast near Gulfport. Meg’s got the tornado on her radar. Its screaming toward the west at 70 mph. The related rain bands are heading this way. It’s 5:20 am. There’s a crawler on the screen on WDSU showing power outages. 2250 in Kenner, 112 in [...]

Clancy’s House It’s now 4:11 am on Monday, 1 September. The winds are in the 40 mph range, and it is surprising that I still have power. There is a spooky feeling in the hood. Nobody is here. I just walked around outside and can’t see a single house in my neighborhood that looks occupied. Earlier Denise and I took a ride to a friend’s house about a mile away and saw four humvees full of camo-clad guard. It’s a ghost town.
